Alaskan Song to be in latest Leslie Nielson feature film "Kevin Of The North"

for immediate release January 17, Anchorage AK - The "Idita-Rock& Roll" song penned and recorded by Kurt Riemann with Chuck Talsky is being included in the upcoming film "Kevin Of The North," a feature film about a city boy who travels to Alaska to claim his inheritance. To win his Grandfather's fortune he must win the Iditarod. Hilarity and hijinks ensue. The film stars Leslie Nielson and Skeet Ulrich. "Idita-Rock& Roll" plays as the mushers sign up for the race.

Coincidentally, Leslie Nielson was up in Anchorage some years ago in Riemann's Surreal Studios voicing a documentary. Riemann remembers that "before the recording I heard a high-pitched whine and was climbing all over the room trying to figure out where it was coming from. I finally told Leslie that there was some weird noise that I couldn't find or get rid of, and then he smiled and turned down his hearing aid which had been feeding back the whole time, causing the squeal. He had watched me climb boxes, flip lights on and off and crawl around on the floor for about five minutes without any explanation. Funny guy. He's nearly deaf as a post, but a terrific talent."

Asked how he was going to spend his new-found riches, Riemann said that he may "either get the car washed or go to Taco Bell. It's a hard choice."
